USDT BEP20 AML check with one row per EVM network

A USDT address on BNB Chain (BEP20) is 0x followed by 40 characters, exactly like an Ethereum address. So the check looks at it on 6 networks at once: Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Optimism. For BEP20 the row that matters most is BNB Chain, but the overall result counts every network.

The check is free, needs no sign-up, and asks the same databases exchanges screen deposits with: Binance AML, AMLBot, PureFi, and TRM Labs.

What is BEP20, and how does it differ from TRC20 and ERC20?

BEP20 is the token standard on BNB Chain, formerly known as Binance Smart Chain. USDT there is a separate token with its own contract, not the same USDT that lives on Tron or Ethereum. You can send it only to an address that supports BNB Chain specifically.

StandardNetworkAddress
BEP20BNB Chain0x, then 40 characters
ERC20Ethereum0x, then 40 characters
TRC20TronT…, 34 characters

Because BEP20 and ERC20 addresses share a format, it’s easy to pick the wrong network when sending. That doesn’t get in the way of the AML check: it looks at the address on every EVM network at once, and the Ethereum page covers the rest of them.

Why does the report have 6 rows instead of one?

A 0x address is the same on every EVM network: one key creates it, and it exists on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Optimism all at once. The databases may treat it differently on each network, though, so we ask each one separately.

For a USDT BEP20 transfer, the BNB Chain row matters most. But if even one network declines the address, the report’s result is “Address is flagged in AML databases”: the flag belongs to the address, and another exchange may screen it on another network.

A network that didn’t answer shows “NO REPLY”, and there will be no green result while it stays silent. Try again in a minute.

Where do you usually run into BEP20 addresses?

BNB Chain is popular for fast, cheap transfers between exchanges and for withdrawals from them. On P2P platforms, sellers often offer USDT BEP20 as an alternative to TRC20 when a buyer wants to save on fees.

The risks are the same: the seller’s coins may have passed through flagged addresses, and when the deposit lands, the exchange puts the questions to you. Checking the address before the deal shows this in advance.

How do I check a USDT BEP20 address before a transfer?

  1. Copy the 0x address the USDT BEP20 will go to or come from.
  2. Drop it into the field above and press “Check”. Telegram opens the bot, and the check begins right away.
  3. Look at the BNB Chain row and the overall result. The bot asks each network 10 times.
  4. If the address is flagged, don’t send money to it through an exchange, and don’t accept a transfer from it.

A mixed-case EVM address whose checksum doesn’t match may contain a typo. The bot asks whether to check the address as entered.

Common questions

BNB Chain passed but another network declined. Is that a problem?

Yes: the result is “Address is flagged in AML databases”. The flag belongs to the address, not the network, and any exchange can screen it where a database has already refused it.

Is the USDT token contract checked?

No. The wallet address is what gets checked, and the result is the same for USDT, BNB, and any other token on it.

Why is a 0x address the same on different networks?

The same key derives it, and all EVM networks share one address format. So a single address can receive coins on BNB Chain and on Ethereum alike.
